DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented STW Skilled Technician - Level II (Student) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Fridley, MN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support Manufacturing Needs : Perform skilled activities using appropriate tools and machinery to support business operations efficiently.
  • Ensure Safety : Adhere to HSE standards, report hazards, and use personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Promote Environmental Responsibility : Recognize and minimize the environmental impact of your work.
  • Maintain High Quality Standards : Apply high standards of workmanship, follow quality procedures, and perform quality inspections to ensure product reliability.
  • Enhance Equipment Reliability : Support equipment uptime through preventive maintenance and failure analysis.
  • Improve Processes : Work with peers to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain Cleanliness : Keep your work area clean and orderly, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
  • Foster Teamwork : Communicate effectively with your team and support staff, participate in training, and engage in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to improve overall operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attention to Detail : Pay close attention to the quality of your work. Follow all process documentation and quality procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship.
  • Continuous Improvement : Actively participate in continuous improvement activities. Work with your peers to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and enhance processes.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

Must be enrolled in the step program at Anoka technical College.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
