DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Student - Program Management to join the Accelera team specializing in Program Management for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Collaborative Coordination : Engage daily with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, plant, procurement, engineering) to manage key deliverables and drive the development and launch of new products.
  • Project Management : Participate in weekly cross-functional meetings, interface with all internal departments, and ensure timely project completion by managing and maintaining a list of all open actions.
  • Effective Communication : Develop and utilize program timing (Gantt charts) to show overall project status, serving as a communication tool both internally and externally.
  • Cost Analysis : Analyze Bill of Materials and simulate costs for various projects to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Management : Oversee the program Bill of Materials from design through engineering, purchasing prototype samples, coordinating testing, and launching production parts with both internal and external suppliers.
  • Skill Development : Manage tasks to enhance problem-solving, communication, organization, and leadership skills, meeting defined targets.
  • Process Compliance : Ensure adherence to the Value Package Introduction Process (VPI) to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Continuous Improvement : Regularly update and refine processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in project management and product development.

  • MS Office Proficiency : Utilize Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and PowerPoint for creating impactful presentations.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities : Apply your strong problem-solving skills to identify and address issues, while maintaining a big-picture perspective to ensure alignment with overall project goals.
  • Communication Skills : Use your strong written and oral communication skills to effectively convey information, collaborate with team members, and keep stakeholders informed.

Education/Experience:

Some College, Sophomore preferred.

Areas of Study: Engineering, Business, Supply-Chain, or Program Management

Additional Information:

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Accelera eMobility Traction Program Management team.

This person will drive cross-functional teams to meet program objectives and deliverables.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
