DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented STW Engineer (Student) to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Gain Hands-On Experience : Apply your academic knowledge directly to real-world projects in the Rear Axle New Product Development department, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
- Collaborate with Experts : Work alongside experienced Product Engineers and Designers, gaining valuable insights and learning from their expertise.
- Support Design and Testing : Contribute to the completion of product designs and the development and testing of new products, ensuring quality and innovation.
- Enhance Communication Skills : Develop your ability to communicate technical information effectively, both in written reports and through oral presentations, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to Engineering Analysis : Perform detailed engineering analyses for new and existing components, providing essential data and insights for decision-making.
- Assist with Layouts and Modifications : Support project engineers and designers by creating layouts and making necessary drawing modifications, improving the design process.
- Drive Continuous Improvement : Embrace opportunities for learning and development, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes.
- Ensure Smooth Transitions : Help ensure that products move smoothly from the development phase to production, supporting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.

Education/Experience
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering Degree.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information
- Demonstrated capability and knowledge of basic mathematics and sciences.
- DEMONSTRATED written and oral communication skills.
- MS Office application
- Some programing skills to support local engineering tools development are required.
