In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Conduct Complex Analysis: Analyze markets, supply chains, and supply base to identify improvement opportunities and execute sourcing strategies.
Supplier Identification and Selection: Identify qualified suppliers and execute sound source selection processes to ensure optimal cost, quality, and relationships.
Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain regular interface with suppliers, developing and maintaining effective relationships to benefit both parties.
Sourcing Activities: Independently carry out sourcing activities, considering the impact on the end-to-end supply chain and executing tactics in line with category/commodity strategies.

Strategy Formulation: Participate in the formulation of sourcing and category commodity strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Process Improvement: Analyze sourcing and procurement initiatives to support cost-effective and high-quality goods and services delivery.
Leadership and Coaching: Lead analysis projects, provide coaching to less experienced analysts and specialists, and negotiate select contracts.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure consistent application of sourcing procedures, support procurement management, and proactively mitigate supplier risks.
Specialist Focus Areas:
Costing and Estimating: Conduct detailed costing and estimating works to support power generation customer bids and quotations.
Collaborative Work: Work collaboratively with sales, engineering, purchasing, and other functions to perform duties effectively.
Costing Accuracy: Be accountable for costing accuracy on projects bid by the sales team, ensuring precise and reliable estimates.
Risk Identification: Identify appropriate costing risks in projects and undertake necessary measures to mitigate them.
RFP and Quotation Responses: Lead and coordinate RFP and large quotation responses in collaboration with the rest of the team.
Commercial Process Awareness: Be aware of commercial process needs and appropriate supplier management processes.
This role currently has no direct reports and has been rescoped to report into the Proposals Manager - Power Generation. It will have a primary responsibility within Australia with additional scope on some APAC projects in neighboring countries.

Procurement Policies and Tools: Understand and comply with relevant procurement policies and procedures, mastering all required tools.
Sourcing: Utilize purchasing systems to support the Request For Quote process and establish Total Cost of Ownership comparisons.
Supplier Contract Development: Develop contracts that cover commercial and legal relationships, driving stakeholder engagement.
Supplier Relationship Management: Define and manage relationships with key/strategic suppliers using established processes.
Supply Base Risk Management: Minimize supplier risk by proactively mitigating risks and managing supplier selection and dual sourcing opportunities.
Value Differences: Recognize and appreciate the value of diverse perspectives and cultures.
Education and Experience:
College, university degree, or Trade equivalent in a relevant field preferred
Intermediate level of related work experience required.
Detailed costing and estimating experience supporting power generation customer bids and quotations.
Collaborative work experience with sales, engineering, purchasing, and other functions.
Accountability for costing accuracy on projects and identification of appropriate costing risks.
Experience leading and coordinating RFP and large quotation responses.
Awareness of commercial process needs and supplier management processes.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
This role will be a specialist role within the Power Generation business with a particular focus on the following areas:
-Detailed costing and estimating works supporting power generation customer bids and quotations
-Collaboratively work with sales, engineering, purchasing and other functions as needed to perform duties
-Be accountable for costing accuracy on projects bid by the sales team
