We are looking for a talented Sourcing Analyst to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Troy, MI location.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Procurement Expertise: Develop a strong understanding of procurement processes, including placing purchase orders, managing inventory, and sourcing capital goods. Familiarize yourself with tools like Ariba IAC for managing invoices against contracts.
- Analytical Skills: Enhance your ability to analyze sourcing and procurement initiatives. This includes supporting cost-effective and high-quality goods and services delivery and providing Value Capture Summaries at month and quarter ends.
- Communication: Prepare and present recommendations for improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action to senior procurement/sourcing leaders. Effective communication will be crucial in conveying your insights and suggestions.
- Policy Adherence: Consistently apply sourcing policies, procedures, and processes. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards to maintain integrity and efficiency in procurement activities.
- Vendor Management: Support procurement/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, process analysis, market and industry research, and model building. Conduct minor contract negotiations and gather information for larger contracts.
- Document Management: Manage loading and retrieving legal and compliance documents into applicable storage systems to support regulatory, audit, and research activities. This will help ensure that all documentation is accurate and accessible.
- Six Sigma Projects: Participate in Six Sigma projects through active team membership or provision of data and market intelligence. This will help drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Supplier Interaction: Interact with suppliers regarding payments and order fulfillment. Building strong relationships with suppliers will be essential for smooth procurement operations.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in field appropriate for the function required or equivalent experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Responsibilities:
- This is a hybrid role which requires candidate to be in office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) at the CDBS building in Troy, Michigan.
- The buyer for this role will be responsible for brake components and trailer castings
- This role has approximately $50M worth of annual spend to manage.
- Looking for candidate with some purchasing experience (internship experience is acceptable).
- The preferred qualification for the candidate is a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering.
