DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Site Quality Engineer to join our team specializing in Quality for our Quality Engineering Department in Daventry, United Kingdom.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive defect-free processes that meet customer needs and achieve business results.
  • Customer Issue Management: Handle systems related to plant customer issues, including corrective requests and containment activities.
  • Quality Standards Compliance: Ensure products and processes meet initial and long-term quality standards such as IATF, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Change Management Support: Assist with change management activities for current products and Value Package Introduction (VPI), ensuring key measures are met.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to support decision-making and verify product and process quality.
  • Quality Audits: Lead or support less complex quality audits to maintain high standards.
  • Technical Resource: Serve as a quality technical resource to other functional areas, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Continuous Improvement Prioritization: Collaborate with cross-functional key business partners to prioritize continuous improvement using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and 7-step problem solving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in quality tools and methods such as APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and Six Sigma to ensure the quality of products, processes, and services.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify test issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop solutions to prioritize actions and reduce defects.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work effectively with the test team, mentor technicians, and lead or participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Quality Systems Management: Utilize and maintain quality management systems to consistently meet supplier and customer requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject or experience equivalent is preferred.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
