DESCRIPTION

Responsible for building high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications. Key participant in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.

Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle; Document and demonstrate solutions; Develops flow charts, layouts and documentation

Determine feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions; Understand business needs and know how to create the tools to manage them

Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming

Recommend state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations; remain passionate about great technologies, especially open source

Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and issues while protecting IT assets by keeping information confidential; Improve applications by conducting systems analysis recommending changes in policies and procedures

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or related subject, or relevant experience equivalent.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Experience working as a software engineer with the following knowledge and experiences are preferred:

  • Working in Agile environments;
  • Fundamental IT technical skill sets;
  • Taking a system from coping requirements through actual launch of the system;
  • Communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines;
  • Professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.

Experience with Oracle SOA Suite 12c, OIC, Oracle BPEL, Oracle Mediator, Oracle Business Rules, and Oracle Service Bus 12c in Design, develop, and implement Integrations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse business requirements for data integration solutions.

SOAP and REST experience with XML/JSON/XQuery/XSLT is required.

Experience with SOA Suite JCA Adapters (AQ Adapter, FTP Adapter, File Adapter, DB Adapter, Oracle Applications Adapter) is required.

Experience with SOA Composites using BPEL Orchestration is required.

Experience with Oracle Database or similar SQL is preferred.

Understanding of Oracle SOA Suite Policy framework.

Candidate should be well-versed in working with JDeveloper.

Understanding of Oracle MDS (Meta Data Repository).

Experienced in Data Access Architecture, PL/SQL and SQL.

Oracle WebLogic experience would be good to have.

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Understanding and experience with DevOps/DevSecOps.

Excellent problem-solving, communication and presentation skills

Willingness to learn and expand into other Integration suite of Products like MuleSoft would be a big plus.
