DESCRIPTION
The Senior Manager - General Ledger (GL) is responsible for general accounting work required to maintain the department's general ledger. This role involves performing financial analysis of the department's chart of accounts and financial statements, identifying and analyzing variances, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, record, and report accounting transactions in a timely manner.
- Prepare general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
- Conduct month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain the Chart of Accounts (COA) and oversee fixed assets accounting.
- Respond to inquiries from management, internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley audit group, and other stakeholders regarding financial results and reporting requests.
- Ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial reporting risks.
- Protect organizational value by maintaining the confidentiality of financial information.
