DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the right environment roadmap to drive global direction in the short to medium term, ensuring global initiatives and programs align with aspirational goals.
  • Support the development of key performance indicators to measure elements contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Monitor assessment results and manage global improvement initiatives based on outcomes.
  • Maintain right environment tools and resources to enable business leadership and human resources to assess their work environment.
  • Provide coaching and direction to managers and human resources on the appropriate utilization of tools.
  • Engage with leaders and human resources to determine if a coaching (low-touch) or consulting (high-touch) approach is appropriate, based on the right environment challenges and opportunities presented.
  • Develop an understanding of business needs and engage with managers and human resources to identify appropriate actions and solutions.
  • Develop communications to business leadership, human resources, and employees that align with the right environment communication strategy.
  • Provide appropriate data to third-party consultants/providers in the right environment assessment process.
  • Analyze and interpret data generated from the ethics investigation process to drive functional improvements in current policies, practices, and processes.
  • Analyze data from key performance indicators and other data sources to generate prescriptive and predictive right environment trends and correlations.
  • Manage and/or support ad hoc global-wide projects aimed at improving a positive and inclusive work environment at Cummins.
  • Identify opportunities for new and improved learning and development programs and initiatives, create content, and recommend appropriate communication and delivery.
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Human Resources, Business, Audit, or a related field.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Experience:

  • Investigates a variety of workplace investigations into alleged violations of company policy across business units in a fair, independent, and unbiased manner. Cases may include HR-related matters, misconduct, fraud, conflict of interest, quality, sourcing, EHS, information technology, and security.
  • Develop and manage investigation plans, update cases in the case management platform, and conduct Reporter, Witness, and Subject interviews; complete investigative reports and summaries and recommendations.
  • Understand the requirements of conducting investigations in respect of employee interviews, data privacy, employment requirements, and unions, including the prevention of sexual harassment.
  • Partner with Ethics and Compliance and Right Environment to identify, understand, and analyze trends, enabling the organization to respond to address systemic issues.
  • High level of personal integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters in a respectful and caring way.
  • Culturally sensitive, flexible, and able to work well independently and with a team.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in conducting workplace investigations and/or professional experience in HR, audit, compliance.
