We are looking for a talented Software Engineer I to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our remote office out of Troy, MI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Develop tailored software solutions: By studying information needs, conferring with users, and analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, you'll create solutions that address specific problem areas.

Document and demonstrate solutions: You'll develop flow charts, layouts, and documentation to clearly communicate your solutions and ensure they are understood and implemented effectively.

Evaluate feasibility: By assessing analysis, problem definitions, requirements, and proposed solutions, you'll determine the feasibility of projects and ensure they meet business needs.

Design and install systems: You'll prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming, ensuring they align with organizational goals.

Stay updated and connected: Participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations will keep you informed and connected within the industry.

Provide insightful information: By collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development issues, you'll provide valuable insights while protecting IT assets by maintaining confidentiality.

Improve applications: Conducting systems analysis and recommending changes will help you enhance applications, making them more efficient and effective.

Define and communicate requirements: You'll define applications and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions, ensuring smooth integration and functionality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Business Insight and Customer Focus: Apply your knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals while building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.

Effective Communication and Conflict Management: Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences, and handle conflict situations effectively with minimal disruption.

Agile Development and Systems Thinking: Use API-First Development and embrace a holistic approach to analysis, focusing on how system components interrelate and work over time within larger contexts to ensure the economic success of solutions.

Regulatory Compliance and Solution Modeling: Evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls against industry frameworks and regulations, and create models, diagrams, and documentation using industry standards to meet business, technical, security, governance, and compliance requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience working as a software engineer such as in a temporary student employment, intern, co-op, or other extracurricular team activities is preferred and includes working in an Agile environment and demonstrating knowledge in fundamental IT technical skill sets and ability to take a solution from scoping requirements through actual launch of the solution.

Additional Details:

Core responsibilities:

Perform Salesforce deployments with developers and administrators in alignment with CI/CD practices

Administer the Salesforce DevOps pipeline using industry standard tools

Participate in release planning meetings with various stakeholders to ensure successful releases

Maintain source code control systems (GIT) and branching strategy

Collaborate with peers on continuous improvement objectives

Experience Requirements:

1-2 years experience developing on Salesforce technology

Proficiency with at least one programming language. Apex, Java, Python, etc. required

Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience

Experience preferred

Salesforce certified Platform Developer preferred

Copado and GitHub experience preferred

Compensation

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
