DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Parts and Services Sales Representative to join our team specializing in Sales for our Service Operations Department in Cape Town, South Africa.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Convert Prospects into Sales: By handling inbound calls and converting them into sales, you'll directly contribute to revenue growth.
- Develop New Sales Opportunities: Through lead generation and cold-calling, you'll create new opportunities to sell Cummins products and services.
- Drive Additional Sales: By following up with existing customers, you'll drive repeat business, cross-selling, and up-selling.
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Using the Cummins Sales Process, you'll ensure customer satisfaction from lead to sale.
- Support Sales Representatives: By creating and delivering qualified leads, and assisting with quotation/RFP management, you'll support the salesforce.
- Maintain Customer Relationships: Building and maintaining positive customer relationships will generate loyalty and future sales.
- Analyze and Resolve Inquiries: By addressing complex customer inquiries and identifying recurring problems, you'll recommend solutions and improve customer service.
- Utilize Sales Tools and Processes: Maintaining accurate sales entry, reporting, and forecasting will ensure the effective use of Cummins tools and processes, contributing to business growth and customer value.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong Quoting Skills: Ability to accurately quote new and recon engines to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Customer Engagement: Regular visits to the service department's customers to build relationships and understand their requirements.
- Support for New Business: Assist the service department in acquiring new customers and developing new business opportunities.
- New & Recon Engines Quoting:
- Prepare and provide quotes for new and reconditioned engines.
- Ensure quotes are accurate and competitive.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of engine specifications and pricing.
- Service Department Customer Visits:
- Conduct regular visits to customers to understand their needs and gather feedback.
- Address any service-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Support Service Department with New Customer and New Business:
- Assist in onboarding new customers, ensuring they have a smooth experience.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for new business.
- Collaborate with the service department to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
- Sales and Strategy Skills:
- Integrate Customer Perspective: Understand and incorporate the customer's perspective to enhance sales content and meet their needs.
- Sales Forecasting: Collect and analyze customer data to forecast future consumption patterns.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Plan and manage the sales pipeline to ensure successful execution of sales strategies.
- Develop Account Strategy: Assess the current status of accounts and define achievable targets aligned with business strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience
- Prior experience required.
- Technical Experience required
- Experience as a quote analyst or another sales support function desirable.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Experience with customer relationship management software desirable.
- Experience with other software-based sales and business tools desirable
- University or college degree in the field of Sales or Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
