DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects. Conducts simple tests (for example on electrical function, reliability, packaging quality). Records results and prepare simple technical reports. Provides product and component testing using a range of measurement equipment. Provides advanced programming, training, and operation of measurement and test equipment. Assists customers in understanding/interpreting product specifications and application of measurement data. Participates in measurement uncertainty studies for measurements associated with measurement or calibration results. Ensures proper maintenance and calibration of the measurement and test equipment.

Measurement Science - Analyzes measurement processes throughout the relevant traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty relevant to the appropriate applied measurement science, "Metrology" e.g. Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical and Radiation and Physical.

Quality Process Management - Proficient application of quality tools and methods (e.g. APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Capability studies, Process Audit, inspection, test, etc.) to ensure quality of products, processes and services.

Laboratory Management - Leads technical resources while managing the business aspects of a laboratory using measure to control both the technical and business aspects of the organization and assuring the requirements of the appropriate certifications and/or accreditations are met.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills Required :-

  • Supplier Quality Improvement for Electrical & Electronics parts. Requires knowledge of Manufacturing processes of Electrical & Electronics parts & products like Wiring harness, Battery, Control Panel , Starter alternator . Needs Knowledge in MSA, Process capabilities, FMEA,. Should be well versed with PPAP, Source Release, APQP, Supplier Audits. Drive zero defect methodology
  • Discussions with the suppliers, internal stakeholders like Engg, Sourcing, Customer Quality for new part developments
  • Conduct Process Audits at Supplier sites
  • Drive Quality improvements
  • Gap Identification & implementation of improvements at Supplier
  • Co-ordination with Plant Quality & Customer Quality for issue resolution
  • Conduct step3 & step6 activities in case of rejections
  • Drive Root cause analysis , Tear downs with supplier in case of issues
  • Monitor PFD/ PFMEA/ Control plan/ SPQR/ MQV at supplier sites
  • PPAP, Source Release audits & approvals
  • Knowledge of GD&T and drawings
  • Sound Knowledge of Supplier Quality Improvement system for Electrical & Electronics Commodity
