DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Quality Technician- Level III to join our team specializing in Quality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Ladson, SC.
This position is on-site at Jamestown Engine Plant as a support function. Working for Cummins Turbo Plant.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Support Engineers : By assisting in production-related and inspection jobs, you ensure smooth operations and help maintain high-quality standards.
Quality Monitoring : Your role in monitoring material quality and making necessary adjustments ensures that the final products meet the required specifications.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Customer Quality Assurance Technician Role and Responsibilities
- Safety
- Will use Personal Protection Equipment during teardown
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Follow all plant site safety procedures and heed all safety notifications.
- Any Health or Safety concerns about CQA area, visitors or yourself; notify your manager immediately.
- Customer Contact
- Check email at least every two hours for customer and manager communication.
- Carry phone with you throughout your shift.
- Check customer portals daily for new reports.
- Customer Returns
- Check tracking numbers of returned turbos for current status.
- Escalate if package becomes lost or stuck.
- Check MRO daily for turbo and component arrival and shipments.
- Notify manager when a return arrives.
- Perform analysis of turbo within 24 hours of arrival.
- Notify manager if this is not possible.
- Use One-Pager to document analysis findings.
- Submit One-pager to your manager for review
- Follow the Teardown FTA during analysis to ensure root cause
- Respond to customer MNCs and create CTT internal MNCs for issues reported by the customer.
- Containment and rework
- Inspect/rework customer inventory for defective product
- Create process flow
- Track completed product
- Supervise 3rd party support
- Perform daily update reports
