DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Quality Systems Specialist to join our team specializing in Quality onsite in Troy, MI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Ensure Compliance : Maintain adherence to the latest quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA) and customer requirements, ensuring the organization meets all regulatory and procedural obligations.
- Expert Guidance : Provide expert knowledge in quality tools and industry guidelines (FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP) to coach and support business personnel across various functions.
- Promote Process Ownership : Encourage process ownership and oversee quality management reviews, ensuring key processes and their interactions are effectively managed.
- Maintain Documentation : Ensure all required procedures and process interactions are documented and updated to meet the latest quality system requirements.
- Manage Audits : Oversee the internal audit program, conduct audits as scheduled, and drive continuous improvement based on audit findings.
- Audit Support : Act as the point of contact for the Troy facility. The position will support global sites as advisor and facilitate concerns with registrar raised from global sites.
- Quality Education : Oversee and deliver education on Quality Systems, promoting the use of standard applications and liaising with Business Unit and Corporate Quality teams.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay informed of changes in standards and customer requirements, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement for both customers and the business.

- Project Schedule Management : Manage project schedules using recommended tools and processes to ensure timely completion of projects.

- Continuous Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvement and waste reduction methodologies to enhance quality and reduce costs in manufacturing processes.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
- Yellow Belt
- Internal Auditor Certification
- Working towards 7 Step Problem Solving certification
- Working towards QUA 3900 certification
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Intermediate level of experience required.
Additional Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible to support the CDBS QMS team exclusively;
- Provide monthly global quality performance data and QMS technical support for global sites;
- Support development and improvement of QMS support applications
- Support standardization efforts for global processes and development of global evaluation metrics
- Provide Quality function related support to the R&D activities in Troy facility. [JR1]
- This is a fully onsite role.
Additional Qualifications:
- ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 expert knowledge
- ISO 19011 certification would be an added advantage
- Working knowledge of data analytics and visualization
