DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Quality System Technician - Level I to join our team specializing in Quality for our Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Conducting Thorough Audits : By performing internal audits (QMS, manufacturing process, and product audits), you'll ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Staying Updated on Standards : Maintaining knowledge of internal and external requirements (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AIAG core tools, and CSR) will help you ensure that the organization meets all relevant standards.
- Applying Risk-Based Thinking : Using a process-based approach and risk-based thinking during audits will help you identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
- Analyzing and Reporting : Gathering and analyzing information related to the internal audit program and producing detailed reports will provide valuable insights for continuous improvement.
- Managing Corrective Actions : Initiating, approving, and monitoring corrective actions associated with audit findings will help address non-conformances and improve processes.
- Maintaining Audit Schedules : Owning and maintaining the audit plan/schedule and records will ensure that audits are conducted regularly and systematically.
- Leading Audits : Planning, performing, and leading various QMS audits will ensure thorough evaluations and adherence to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Training and Support : Participating in the implementation, auditing, and training for AIAG Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, PPAP) will enhance the team's capabilities and ensure effective use of these tools.

- Quality Systems Management : Utilize quality tools and processes to ensure the quality management system is understood, implemented, and maintained. This will help consistently provide products and services that meet requirements.
- Problem-Solving : Develop the ability to analyze complex information and solve problems efficiently. This skill will help you navigate the intricacies of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Continuous Improvement : Actively seek and act on opportunities for improvement. This will help you maintain high standards and contribute to the organization's success.
Education/Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent business experience.
IATF 16949 + ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Training needs to be completed within the first year.
Six Sigma Green Belt trained needs to be completed within the first year and willing to work towards certification.
AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA and MSA) training needs to be completed within the first year
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
No experience required for level I
