We are looking for a talented Quality System Technician to join our team specializing in Quality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Columbus, IN.
Job Summary:
Responsible of conducting internal audits (QMS, Mfg Process Audits, Product Audits) in an organization. Plan and lead trainings, root cause analysis and resolution of non-conformances. Demonstrate technical understanding of mfg processes, its risk analysis and control plans. When needed help conduct PQC (Product Quality Council), pull together presentation of management review etc. Also conduct other QMS related activities needed to perform QMS processes.

• Implementing and Adapting to Standards: You will ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AIAG core tools, and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR), adapting to external changes and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Conducting Thorough Audits: By performing audits with a process-based approach and risk-based thinking, you will identify areas for improvement and ensure processes are efficient and compliant.
• Analyzing and Reporting: Gathering and analyzing information related to the internal audit program, you will produce insightful reports that drive continuous improvement.
• Managing Corrective Actions: You will initiate, approve, and monitor corrective actions associated with audit findings, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and preventing recurrence.
• Maintaining Audit Schedules: Owning and maintaining the audit plan/schedule for both ISO/IATF internal audits and manufacturing process audits, you will ensure audits are conducted timely and records are well-documented.
• Training and Supporting Teams: Participating in the implementation, auditing, and training for AIAG Core Tools (FMEA, APQP, MSA, SPC, PPAP), you will enhance the team's competence and understanding of quality tools.
• Leading Root Cause Analysis: Providing expertise in Root Cause Analysis (3P5Y) for corrective actions, you will help identify underlying issues and train stakeholders to prevent future problems.
• Enhancing Quality Documentation: Supporting the documentation of key processes in the Quality Manual, you will help write and maintain the Quality Manual, ensuring it accurately reflects the business management system and its interactions.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
• Associate degree or equivalent business experience.
• IATF 16949 + ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Trained.
• Six Sigma Green Belt trained and willing to work towards certification. AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, and MSA) trained
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
• Demonstrated ability to perform process based and risk based audits.
• Initiated, approved and monitored corrective actions associated with audit findings.
• Planned, performed and led different QMS audits based upon IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Performed training on AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC and FMEA)
• Performed Product Audits per applicable CSRs
• Led 3P-5Whys root cause analysis
• Provided support to documentation on the key processes per business quality manual
• When conducted mfg process audits, demonstrated in-depth understanding of processes and associated risk analyses (FMEA and control plan)
• Exhibited good understanding of QMS tools such as QSi, CQMS etc.
• When needed performed CQMS admin training.
