We are looking for a talented Production Technician II to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Maxton, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.
  • Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards.
  • Operates manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product in order to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, or electrical/electronic field.
  • Must understand and be able to use basic math, fractions, basic algebra, decimals, and metrics.
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
  • Must be flexible and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to physically access all areas of the plant with reasonable accommodations and ability to communicate clearly with the management staff and other production technicians.
  • During any regular shift, individuals may be required to physically: stand (5-6 hours); use both hands to grasp tools and parts, and push and pull (3-4 hours); use of head and neck in a static or turning motion (3-4 hours); and looking forward, side to side, and down (7-8 hours).
  • Manual assembly also involves some amount of bending, reaching, lifting, and turning.
  • Some departments within the business may require occasional or intermittent lifting of up to 35-40 lbs. without hoist assistance and greater than 45 lbs. with hoist assistance.
