We are looking for a talented Product Systems Validation Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our CUMMINS in San Luis Potosí, SLP .

Job Summary:

This product focused position verifies and validates the functionality of Cummins' products across a wide range of customer requirements, across a variety of applications, in various environments. This work plans, tracks, and evaluates results from a wide range of analyses and functional tests to assess product risk and performance. These results are expected to drive quality decisions and proactively resolve product issues before the product reaches the customer.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Powertrain Integration and optimization related new technologies development to drive powertrain guidelines.
  • Powertrain driveability evaluation to understand performance and competitiveness.
  • Powertrain fuel efficiency and performance validation based on Engineering standards to support powertrain improvements and TCO guidelines.
  • Powertrain validation simulation base, able to drive data at early development satges.
  • Benchmark and competitive powertrain test based on Engineering standards
  • Makes decisions in the areas of verification and validation that impact product performance, reliability, and durability.
  • Investigates and addresses potential system concerns or issues, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution and documents results with guidance from more experienced team members.
  • Applies and improves processes such as technical requirements, iDFMEA, Engineering Standard Work (ESW), DVP&R optimization, test standards, and problem solving and tools such as Integrity, Microsoft Power BI, and McParts required to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.
  • Develop and standardize tools and process on specific powertrain related topics, to drive productivity.
  • Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge.
  • Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Product knowledge
  • On Highway prodcut and application understanding
  • Powertrain optimization knowledge
  • Product validation and testing knowledge
  • Skilled on simulation and data analytic software (Matlab, Python, ...)
  • Experience in Product Development, Product Application, and Product Design/Simulation.
  • English fluent

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Master's degree desired.

Experience:

Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical Product Development, Product Application, and Product Design/Simulation.
