DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Product Functional Test Mechanical Technician - Level III to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Power System Engineering in any DBU Europe location.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure Accurate Testing: By performing tests in accordance with established procedures and methodologies, you will consistently provide accurate and reliable test results.
- Maintain Test Equipment: Your in-depth understanding of test equipment and its contribution to test validity will ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and producing valid results.
- Operate Data Acquisition Systems: Configuring and operating data acquisition systems, and analyzing data for appropriateness, will ensure that test data is accurate and useful.
- Understand Product Functionality: Your knowledge of the product under test will help assess its contribution to the validity of test results, ensuring comprehensive and accurate testing.
- Install and Troubleshoot Test Stands: Performing test stand installations, troubleshooting, and setups will ensure that all testing environments are properly prepared and maintained.
- Maintain Laboratory Equipment: Upkeeping and maintaining laboratory equipment will ensure that all tools and machines are in optimal condition for testing.
- Support Engineering Teams: Providing support and recommendations for equipment supplier evaluation, qualification, and facility updates will help improve testing processes and equipment quality.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement: By performing other duties as required, you will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the testing operations, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Technical Proficiency: Experience working with marine systems, such as high-speed diesel engines in propulsion and auxiliary applications. Completion of a Diesel Technicians Apprenticeship and marine engine repair/commissioning experience are highly desired.
- Data Collection and Analysis Skills: The ability to collect engine and generator data in a marine environment and make accurate determinations on engine and alternator performance.
- Willingness to Travel: A high level of autonomous regional and potentially global travel is required. You must be willing and able to travel to client sites and shipyards as needed.
- Compliance and Safety Awareness: Demonstrable compliance with internal safety policies (ANVL, JSA, LOTO, etc.) and a full driver's license. Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, are also essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Experience of working with marine systems such as high-speed diesel engines in propulsion and auxiliary applications is important.
- Candidate must be capable of collecting engine & generator data, in a marine environment and making accurate determinations on engine & alternator performance.
- A high level of autonomous regional and (potentially) global travel required, must be willing and able to travel to client sites and shipyards when required.
- Completion of a Diesel Technicians Apprenticeship - Marine engine repair/commissioning experience desired.
- Fluent level of English - written and spoken.
- Full Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrable compliance to internal safety polices (ANVL, JSA, LOTO, etc).
