DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Project Engineering Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Marketing Power Gen Department in Milano, Italy.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Central Coordination: Act as a key point of coordination and decision-making among product line engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers, and manufacturing.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather input from various stakeholders to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
- Project Advancement: Use your academic knowledge and experience to make decisions that move projects forward without compromising quality.
- Process Improvement: Apply and enhance processes like Engineering Standard Work (ESW), iDFMEA, and tools such as 7-step problem solving to support high-quality decision-making.
- Independent Leadership: Lead smaller projects with business impact or own complex components, products, systems, or services, ensuring accountability to the project team.
- Work Process Development: Develop and improve work processes and systems within your functional discipline area.
- Knowledge Transfer: Coordinate and direct work among technicians and temporary student employees and assist in transferring knowledge to less experienced engineers.
- Technical Guidance: Provide support and guidance to influence technical direction within the project team, while continuing to develop proficiency in critical competency areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in setting up, configuring, and maintaining Schneider PLCs, along with a solid understanding of open/closed loop control systems and their interactions with mechanical, hydraulic, chemical, and electronic systems.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively support and interface with suppliers and customers on PLC-related matters, ensuring clear and concise communication.
- Configuration Management: Skills in establishing and maintaining product configuration and change management processes, including tracking and communicating changes from concept to obsolescence.
- Mechanical Design Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to create detailed design specifications that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience
- Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
