We are looking for a talented Product Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering in Rocky Mount, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Statistical Analysis : Master the principles of statistical methods to analyze technical data, model relationships, and make data-driven decisions using tools like descriptive statistics, regression, and design of experiments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Effectively translate stakeholder requirements into virtual designs and communicate these through cross-functional design reviews to ensure alignment and capability.

- Product Configuration Management : Establish and maintain product baselines, manage changes effectively, and ensure the integrity of product artifacts from concept to obsolescence.
- Project Management : Plan, schedule, and execute product development activities, monitor progress, communicate across functions, and manage risks to ensure project success and product quality.
- Problem Solving and Failure Mode Avoidance : Utilize structured problem-solving processes to identify root causes, implement robust solutions, and prevent recurrence of issues, thereby improving product reliability.
- Simulation and Analysis : Use computational tools to model, simulate, and analyze product functions, impacting design decisions and ensuring products meet system-level requirements.
- Interface Management : Identify and manage interfaces and interactions across system boundaries, ensuring integration plans are in place to maintain system integrity and facilitate troubleshooting.
- Verification and Validation : Develop and execute validation plans to identify failure modes, manage risks, and verify that products meet requirements through analytical, simulation, and physical testing.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
- Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Entry level/Early career professional.
- Preferred candidates would have relevant experience working in either a temporary student employment environment (intern, co-op, or other extracurricular team activities) or as an early career professional in a relevant technical discipline area.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools is also preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
- Be the technical leader on RMEP machining and assembly capital line improvements by liaising between plant engineering and corporate engineering teams for new products, providing guidance and input during drawing quality reviews, and leading validation efforts
- Provide the Technical Engineering input during machining and assembly PFEMEA generation and reviews
- Lead product improvement projects that will help assembly/machining by improving quality, reduce cycle time, and improve safety and/or ergonomics
- Lead block and head major casting foundry source approvals for new tooling thru machining and reviewing prototype samples, performing validation tasks, and compiling material for approval
- Complete investigations for warranty issues on machining/assembly related failures
- Manage Machining Technician responsible for assisting with source approvals, VPCRS, and machining standards updates
