DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Procurement Coordinator to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Atlanta, GA.

Job Summary:

Works independently to update procurement systems and coordinates approval and control of procurement activities. Provides support to sourcing and finance teams globally.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Supplier Relationship Management: By proactively contacting suppliers, you'll ensure that all necessary data and documentation are up-to-date, facilitating smooth procurement processes.

Issue Resolution: Your support in identifying and resolving supplier invoice and payment issues will help maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure timely payments.

Contract Management: Assisting in the completion, closure, and recording of contracts and other supplier documentation will ensure compliance and streamline procurement activities.

Sourcing Event Preparation: Preparing documentation for sourcing events will enable efficient and effective procurement processes, contributing to cost savings and quality improvements.

Quality and Performance Goals: By supporting work that meets cost, quality, delivery, and inventory goals, you'll help achieve the company's operational objectives.

Supplier Quality Improvement: Collaborating with supplier quality improvement engineers, suppliers, and category teams will enhance supplier performance and product quality.

Cross-Functional Liaison: Acting as a liaison between procurement teams and other functions will ensure seamless communication and coordination, driving project success.

Data Integrity and Process Improvement: Ensuring data integrity and identifying improvements for business processes will enhance the accuracy and efficiency of procurement operations.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. College or equivalent degree preferred.

• Written communication skills in English, preferred.

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

• Requires relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

• Experience using Microsoft 365 required.

• Prior Supply Chain systems experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Create Mactrack projects for GBPA updates as well as tracking the cost changes on a supplier basis.

• Create PPAP request and Source release request for VPI and current products.

• Create VPCR request and be the single point of contact for the sourcing managers and cross functional team.

• Create RFQs and send files to suppliers, including prints, technical profiles and CES standards etc..

• Handle supplier payment issues.

• Create GSARs if needed.

• Manage monthly TCO process for the Sensors category team by collaborating with the global sourcing managers and finance team as needed.

• Generate Ariba PO's as needed.
