We are looking for an enthusiastic Placement Student - Mechanical Systems Engineering to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Mechanical Systems in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential !

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 1 July 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Learning of policies, processes and procedures in line with Mechanical Systems - Experimental activities
- Day to day support of rig (FEAD, Shaker) running
- Supporting upfit of sensors (strain, pressure, accelerometers, thermocouples, displacement)
- Supporting calibration activities
- Supporting adherence to HSE requirements (COSHH, LOTO, 5S)
- Test planning
- Data processing and analysis
- Some travel within UK (< 10%) possible
- Qualification (minimum) - working towards an engineering degree
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a STEM degree Mechanics, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Design Engineering.
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team with experience contributing to or leading a group project.
- Strong desire to learn with knowledge of the practical application of science or engineering concepts.
- Used to presentations through Powerpoint, knowledge of Mat Lab is a plus, hands on, proactive, team player.
