Placement Student - Marketing Communications Assistant

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing communications assistant to join our team specializing in marketing communications for our European Engine Business in Darlington, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence July 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Working closely with Europe-based communications colleagues and other key business stakeholders to support the delivery of the marketing plan for our on-highway (truck and bus) business.
  • Support the Marketing Manager in refreshing on-highway communication activities for our European business including working with creative agencies to set a new strategy, as well as connect with global teams on data analytics, measurement and paid social media campaigns.
  • Support a wide range of marketing activities including events and exhibitions, web / social media campaigns, advertising and PR campaigns.
  • Production and distribution of marketing collateral and sales materials.
  • Work with suppliers and other stakeholders to co-ordinate the delivery of marketing materials, branded merchandise and other marketing assets for key projects.
  • Provide administrative and logistical assistance for marketing programs and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Working towards a degree in Marketing / Communications or related area
  • Excellent IT Skills - MS Office
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
