We are looking for an enthusiastic Internal Audit EMEA Placement Student to join our team specializing in Finance for our Corporate/CBS segment in UK, Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 2 nd June 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Assists in the execution of audit plans to evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control environment.
  • Performing interviews and walkthroughs to understand business processes, including risks, internal controls and any potential control gaps.
  • Performing audit testing to meet audit objectives in compliance with audit standards.
  • Identifying internal control issues and improvement opportunities that are meaningful and practical.
  • Communicating audit status, testing results, observations, and improvement recommendations to stakeholders
  • Developing and managing of relationships within the wider team and actively engaging with relevant stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with Finance, Management or related subject.
  • Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification preferred.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills.
