We are looking for a talented Heavy Diesel Mechanic to support our Customer Site onsite on a 5/4 Roster -12 hour shift!
We are looking for a talented Onsite Service Technician - Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our high performing field service team. The Gunnedah Basin mining region is home to over 170 Cummins High Horsepower engines , powering a range of mining equipment. And you could be the first responder to fix and repair these engines.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- First responder to breakdown events
- Fleet maintenance
- Capturing engine data
- Fault diagnostics
- Diverse range engine repairs, both major and minor
- Working autonomously as well as having the ability to work in a great team environment
- Work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
- The face of Cummins at the customer site
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Field service experience preferred coupled with heavy duty engine experience
- Must hold Qualification with Heavy Diesel or similar
- Strong engine diagnostic experience
- The ability to work autonomously/remotely for extended periods
- A genuine commitment to workplace safety
- A valid driver's license
- Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Education: Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution. Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Locally valid driving permit. Current relevant electrical certification (optional). This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Experience: Basic level field service work experience. Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products. High Voltage/Low Voltage experience (optional). Customer service experience.
Based on site in the Gunnedah Basin, you will be working closely with the customer to maintain, diagnose and help future planning of their Cummins fleet. Cummins experience is essential for this very rewarding role.
