In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  1. Optimize Inventory Levels : By using statistical analysis and validated planning parameters, you'll ensure optimal inventory levels, reducing excess stock and minimizing shortages.
  2. Align Supply and Demand : You'll synchronize the supply plan with the demand plan, driving stability and efficiency in the supply chain.
  3. Enhance Safety and Compliance : Reporting any work-related incidents and complying with HSE standards will contribute to a safer work environment.
  4. Maintain Quality Standards : Performing quality checks on planning parameters and following standard procedures will help maintain high-quality standards.
  5. Improve Forecast Accuracy : Conducting supply and demand analysis and making necessary adjustments will enhance the accuracy of forecasts and planning.
  6. Support Decision-Making : Running simulations and providing detailed reports on planning parameter changes will support informed decision-making.
  7. Foster Team Collaboration : Effective communication within your team and with support teams will ensure smooth operations and collaborative problem-solving.
  8. Drive Continuous Improvement : Participating in improvement projects and personal development will contribute to ongoing enhancements in quality, safety, and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  6. Utilize Materials Planning Systems : Leverage the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans, taking long-term corrective actions based on root cause analysis, and occasionally using tools like Excel, Access, TOAD, and OMS for problem-solving.
  7. Apply PFEP Principles : Use the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) methodology to ensure the right parts are delivered at the right time and place, focusing on the entire supply chain and its various components.
  8. Manage and Optimize Inventory : Use analytics and algorithms to determine optimal inventory levels, refine planning parameters, and develop strategies that align with Cummins' overall strategy.
  9. Manage Materials KPIs : Monitor and interpret key performance indicators to assess supply chain performance, identify gaps, and drive improvements while balancing trade-offs.
  10. Master Supply Planning : Use statistical analysis and collaborate with other disciplines to align the supply plan with the demand plan, achieving financial and service objectives while stabilizing the supply chain.
  11. Value Differences : Recognize and appreciate the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization, fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Prefer significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control. 5-7 years of relevant work experience preferred.
