DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Material Planner to join our team specialising in Supply Chain Planning for our Materials Department in Daventry, United Kingdom.

This is a 12-month FTC with the potential to become a permanent dependent based on performance and business needs.

Working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with flexible hours and hybrid options.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure material availability in the warehouse to meet pick requests.
  • Meet or exceed inventory targets.
  • Communicate issues with parts or suppliers to supervision and management.
  • Set and maintain planning parameters to support the business environment.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and part availability.
  • Develop and manage inventory profiles for all parts under your control.
  • Use Oracle tools effectively and respond to workbench exceptions within permitted timescales.
  • Develop improvement programs with key suppliers to enhance inventory, delivery times, and other metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Proficiency in MRP planning systems: Expertise in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to efficiently manage inventory and production schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills: Strong ability to convey ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Advanced IT literacy: Skilled in using PCs, spreadsheets, Word, and other essential software for data management and reporting.
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation abilities: Capable of managing workloads efficiently and meeting deadlines through strong organisational skills and task prioritisation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Requires some work experience and intermediate-level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.
  • Logistics/material flow background and planning experience is advantageous.

The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionized agreement.
