DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Material Operation Supervisor to join our team specializing in logistics in Henderson, CO.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Operations leadership for the Denver MRC and Denver Warehouse for the kitting team and indirect purchasing teams (20-25 employees) across two shifts.
- Drive continuous improvement projects for the Kitting and Indirect Purchasing teams including some major projects forecasted for 2025 and 2026
- Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets.
- Manage, coach, and develop staff; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.
- Leadership in Operations: By managing shifts and ensuring smooth warehouse operations, you'll drive efficiency and productivity.
- Safety Advocate: You'll create a safe working environment for all employees, prioritizing their well-being.
- Strategic Planning: Developing and managing annual operating plans and forecasts will align operations with business goals.
- Employee Development: By coaching and developing staff, you'll enhance their skills and career growth, contributing to a stronger team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Carrier Management - Supports and evaluates carrier performance through consistent monitoring of on time pick up, transit time and on time delivery measures to ensure fulfillment by published schedule and rated cost.
- Mode Selection - Evaluates and selects appropriate transportation mode and equipment type by lane through shipment volume analysis against business requirements to provide optimal shipping method (balance cost, quality and time).
- Trade Knowledge Application - Applies knowledge of relevant trade regulations to Cummins processes and systems to minimize trade risks and costs.
- Warehouse Operations - Utilizes warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations of a warehouse.
- Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a "project"). Ensures results/impact from temporary effort are fully realized as possible.
- Supply Chain Knowledge - Influences, with the ability to concisely explain and/or elaborate on, the multi-disciplined and end-to-end integration of the flow of information, products, and services to achieve the desired result for the end customer within the first-fit or aftermarket business segments while balancing the tensions of inventory, cost, and delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject required. MBA preferred.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Moderate level of relevant work experience required.
