DESCRIPTION

This role requires to lead Environmental Improvement Projects. The Maintenance Engineer assists in planning and executing preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment. This role also involves supporting utility activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and contributing to continuous process improvements within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of production equipment to ensure availability and capability.
  • Collaborate with teams in the maintenance organization and assist line employees in basic maintenance procedures.
  • Support Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering in identifying and resolving equipment issues.
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts and indirect materials inventory using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Contribute to equipment engineering design evaluations and the implementation of maintenance processes.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to by identifying hazards and promoting safe practices.
  • Build and document standard procedures to establish continuity and process standardization.
  • Lead and Monitor Energy Management including Water and Electricity. Ensure meeting Environmental aspirational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience:

  • Relevant work experience in maintenance and utility activities.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience with impregnation machines, machining centers, and general mechanical machines.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming is a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, preventive maintenance strategies, and process documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in equipment/capital procurement and controls engineering.
  • Familiarity with Cummins manufacturing standards and ergonomic guidelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment and implement effective solutions.

  • Effective Communication: Develop and deliver clear communications tailored to different audiences.

  • Drawing Interpretation: Integrate equipment engineering drawings into optimal manufacturing processes.
  • Ergonomics: Apply ergonomic principles to reduce workplace risks and enhance employee well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
