DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Logistics Analyst - Senior to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Memphis, TN.

Job Summary:

Develop and provide logistics analytics and make recommendations to achieve profitability, customer service, and/or inventory goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Develop logistics analytics: Make operational performance and trends visible through effective data analysis.

  • Lead and participate in Six Sigma and supply chain improvement projects: Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Use common processes, tools, and information systems: Enable comprehensive supply chain analysis by leveraging standardized tools and systems.
  • Ensure data integrity: Maintain the accuracy and reliability of all analytics and reports.
  • Develop reporting capability for supply chain KPIs: Create robust reporting mechanisms to track and analyze key performance indicators.
  • Analyze and interpret KPIs: Identify areas for improvement and develop actionable plans based on KPI analysis.
  • Use existing business systems for analytics and reporting: Ensure that your analytics and reporting processes are capable and repeatable.
  • Conduct internal and external benchmarking analysis: Compare performance metrics against internal standards and industry benchmarks to identify best practices.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Demonstrated role competence is required. College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in applicable field is preferred.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

Candidate must have proven analytic skills OR supply chain experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • This is 100% onsite at the MDC
  • Develop logistics analytics to make operational performance and trends visible.
  • Develop reporting capability for supply chain Key Performance Indicators
  • Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans
  • Carrier Management - Supports and evaluates carrier performance through consistent monitoring of on time pick up, transit time and on time delivery measures to ensure fulfillment by published schedule and rated cost
  • Mode Selection - Evaluates and selects appropriate transportation mode and equipment type by lane through shipment volume analysis against business requirements to provide optimal shipping method (balance cost, quality and time).
  • Work Instructions - Develop/Revise WIs for Transportation Operations where we have new sites and/or changes with existing site.3PL Management: Works with our transportation 3PL to help guide and make decisions as well as participate in annual bids.
  • Hold responsible to KPIs
