DESCRIPTION

Provide application functionality, configuration and support expertise for application software solutions. Work with business analysts, architects, technical experts and software vendors on the solution requirements, design, configuration, functionality gap resolution, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the applications. Analyze and evaluate application functionality and provide recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business processes and capabilities. Perform Solution Assessment and Validation to assess proposed solutions in order to determine how closely they meet requirements and if they will deliver the desired business outcomes. Determine and document optimum application setup and configuration to meet functional requirements and specifications. Configure and verify complex application setup and configuration. Remain current on emerging application and solution trends and functionality and provide functional expertise for assigned applications and systems. Perform complex analysis of requirements in order to identify the relationships and interdependencies between requirements, prioritize requirements, and predict likelihood of success. Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant vendors and work with vendors to improve application functionality and resolve difficult functionality issues. Partner with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts and architects to gather, document and review functional, architecture and technical requirements and define application functional designs. Serve as subject matter expert and point of contact on content, processes, procedures and functionality associated with assigned applications for projects and application support. Lead the creation and management of functional specifications for a given project from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the program, application, or complete solution. Create and modify IT solutions applying industry defined System Development Methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Positions require a Bachelor's degree in Management or Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field (employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's degree in Management or Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field) and 3 years of experience as a Software or Systems Engineer, Computer Systems or Technology Analyst or Lead, or related position.Experience to include: Solution Design; Solutions Assessment and Validation; Meet functional requirements and specifications; Requirements Analysis to identify relationships; Resolve difficult functionality issues; Gather, document and review functional requirements; Define application functional designs; System Development Methodologies; Modify IT solutions.
