DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Investigation Manager to join our team specializing in Ethics & Compliance for Cummins, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Investigate Issues : Conduct thorough investigations into labor relations and employment issues, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions using the organization's process of ethics reporting.
  • Ethical Decision-Making : Utilize your understanding of business ethics to develop recommendations and determine appropriate actions, considering the organizational environment.
  • Promote Company Culture : Demonstrate and promote the company's culture in all your actions, reinforcing a positive work environment.
  • Data Interpretation : Analyze trends in investigation data and collaborate with HR, legal, and other parties to prepare and present recommended actions to leadership.
  • Maintain Objectivity : Ensure independence and objectivity throughout the investigative process, balancing the perspectives of both the company and employees.
  • Consistent Application : Apply the company's investigation processes consistently and escalate issues as necessary to maintain procedural integrity.
  • Training and Development : Train, coach, and develop others on the investigation process to enhance team capabilities.
  • Leadership Collaboration : Work with leadership to present well-informed recommendations based on your investigations and data analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Conducting An Investigation - Build trust and rapport with individuals to facilitate open and honest communication during investigations.Use your analytical skills to assess situations accurately and make fair decisions. Utilizetools and processes used in investigations to gather and analyze information effectively.Clearly articulate your findings and recommendations both verbally and in writing to ensure they are understood and actionable.
  • Cultural Agility - Leverages multiple cultural frameworks, values, and norms. Adapts style in order to be effective across cultures. Recognizes and addresses one's privileges, biases, and cultural preferences. Commits to continuous learning and improvement in diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competence. Seeks and utilizes feedback from diverse sources.
  • Human Resources Consulting - Work closely with partners to understand the organizational environment and identify opportunities for improvement.Apply your knowledge and experience to diagnose issues and develop holistic solutions that balance the needs of employees and the organization.Balance the interests of various stakeholders, ensuring that employee needs are met while supporting organizational goals.
  • Data Analytics - Discovers, interprets and communicates qualitative and quantitative data. Provide actionable recommendations that enable informed business decisions based on your analysis. Apply statistical methods to ensure data accuracy and validity and use analytical thinking to solve complex problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Significant relevant work experience required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • This will be an individual contributor role operating as a senior investigator supporting CMI. The role requires demonstrated expertise in leading complex investigations across myriad issue types, including concerns raised regarding Code of Conduct and / or underlying policy violations, Treatment of Each Other and / or Right Environment allegations of misconduct.
  • Strong verbal and written skills, effective communicator with executive presence that values differences across all employee types.
  • No less than 5 solid years of global experience leading and managing all aspects of investigations.
  • Self-starter and team player focused on process improvement and innovation in support of driving investigation efficiencies and accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail, discernment and ability to issue spot.
  • Investigations training experience required.
  • Experience and exposure in leading investigations in manufacturing, financial services, and / or health services sector preferred.
  • Legal, Employee and / or Labor Relations education and experience preferred.
  • 8-12 years corporate generalist investigation experience preferred.
  • Diversity experience preferred. Coaching and advising experience preferred.
  • Global experience is a plus.
  • This person will be handling 8-10 investigations at a time.
  • Less than 25% travel.

Compensation

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
