  • Provides overall leadership and management of small scope and impact Value Package Introduction (VPI) program(s) that meets needs of customer and business.
  • Leads Value Package Introduction (VPI) program(s) with small business impact from inception to completion.
  • Defines tangible and measurable customer expectations and business outcomes, and leads the program(s) to achieve both.
  • Determines the scope, schedule, and resources with key cross functional, cross-Business Units, and external stakeholders. Obtains stakeholder commitment and approval of the program contract.
  • Ensures adherence of the program(s) to Value Package Introduction (VPI) process.
  • Tracks and communicates performance against the program contract with senior leadership on a occasional basis. Interfaces and communicates to internal stakeholders on regular basis.
  • Leads cross-functional identification and mitigation of program risks and issues. Appropriately escalates risks and issues as needed.
  • Leads cross-functional identification and resolution of program contract changes (scope, schedule, resources).
  • Coaches and develops peer program manager(s) and/or program leader(s).
  • Adopts and shares best practices.
Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

Project Management training and/or experience preferred.

New Product Development training and/or experience preferred.

Experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant New Product Development experience. Experience with Value Package Introduction (VPI) process preferred.Lead and support lean manufacturing projects in the plant.
  • Support with COS (Cummins operating system) in the plantThis position is on -site at Columbus South plant
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required to support program launch in the plant
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $74,800-$112,200. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
