DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Content Evaluation: Lead the development of work standards and optimal manufacturing processes to achieve safety, manufacturing, and business objectives.
- Project Leadership: Drive capacity and improvement projects within the plant to support future business needs.
- Standards Development: Assist in creating manufacturing standards and working methods to ensure documentation and consistency across processes.
- Ergonomics and Safety: Design and implement ergonomic solutions and safety controls, adhering to Cummins' guidelines to foster a safe and efficient workplace.
- Layout Planning: Lead plant layout initiatives to meet current and future capacity requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Utilize manufacturing principles and methodologies like Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to enhance processes and equipment.
- Process Implementation: Support the development and execution of manufacturing processes that comply with safety and quality standards.
- Project Participation: Collaborate on projects related to SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) and I4.0 initiatives, contributing to manufacturing engineering aspects.
- Problem Solving: Address manufacturing challenges using systematic analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive solutions.
- I4.0 Implementation: Lead initiatives for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement and coordinate digitization projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience:
- Basic level of relevant work experience, preferably in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, with an understanding of both current and emerging technologies relevant to manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Skills:
- Industrial Engineering Proficiency: Expertise in work time motion systems, conducting work studies, and employing predetermined motion time systems.
- Improvement Methodologies: Proficient in VST/VSM and other process improvement techniques.
- Digital Transformation: Experience leading I4.0 and digitization projects.
- Work Measurement: Quantify and evaluate work elements to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Tool and Fixture Design: Select appropriate devices to meet functional requirements.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in implementing changes for process improvement.
