DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Industrial Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Manufacturing Engineering in Daventry, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- System Design and Improvement: Assist in designing, improving, and installing integrated systems to optimize the use of people, materials, information, equipment, and energy. Enhance Industrial Engineering systems and databases.
- Cost Analysis: Perform cost analyses for sub-assemblies to ensure cost-effective production. Assist finance with BWS hour accuracy.
- Production and Operations Planning: Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to optimize workflows and production schedules. Evaluate machinery and equipment usage to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime. Develop and implement time and motion studies to improve labor efficiency, via the line balancing. Maintain the standard time database.
- Safety Improvements: Participate in safety improvement projects to enhance workplace safety.
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing production processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Design and implement new systems to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. Reduce waste and inefficiencies using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data on production performance, efficiency, and cost metrics. Use statistical analysis and simulation software to model and predict the outcomes of process changes. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement system improvements and ensure seamless integration across various departments. Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and workshops. Communicate with senior management to align process improvements with business goals.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by continuously seeking new ways to improve processes and systems. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Effective Communication: Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications that cater to the unique needs of different audiences.
- Industrial Engineering Knowledge: Apply comprehensive and quantitative analysis to data, integrating industrial engineering techniques to improve manufacturing processes, including line balancing to optimize operating time and work distribution.
- Analytical Skills: Use data-driven decision-making to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness, while also evaluating work activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work well with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and ensure seamless integration across various departments, while understanding and applying ergonomic fundamentals to reduce risk and enhance employee well-being.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Basic level of relevant work experience required.
The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionised agreement
