DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented HR People Support Advisor - Western US to join our team specializing in Human Resources in Irvine, CA .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Analyze and Improve HR Processes : Compile and analyze HR process metrics, recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conflict Resolution and Coaching : Assist in resolving conflicts, provide coaching and counseling on employment matters, and conduct thorough investigations.
  • Performance Management : Participate in performance management activities, including employee development planning, to foster growth and development.
  • Staffing and Recruiting : Provide support for staffing and recruiting efforts, and conduct workforce data analysis to inform decisions.
  • Compensation and Benefits : Facilitate the compensation process and benefits administration by partnering with shared services and corporate HR, and develop workforce compensation recommendations.
  • Policy Compliance : Assist in managing HR policies and procedures, and advise on compliance with key legislative requirements.
  • Training and Development : Coordinate training needs assessments, participate in training activities, and manage special projects to enhance employee skills.
  • HR Information Systems : Ensure the accuracy and completeness of workforce information in HR information systems, supporting HR activities within the organization.

  • Manage HR Data : Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of people data with company policies and legislative requirements.
  • Design Organizations : Apply organization design principles to determine optimal structures that align with strategic goals.
  • Analyze Data : Interpret and communicate data to extract meaningful insights and support data-driven business decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

  • Minimal relevant work experience required.

Additional Responsibilities/Information:

  • This role is similar to a Line HR Generalist.
  • This role will support HR Operations across the following states: CA, WA, OR, ID, AK, NV, UT, NM, AZ, MT, WY, HI, and CO.
  • This is a hybrid position. The selected candidate may work remotely with an expectation to potentially be onsite 1-2 days a week at a nearby Cummins location in the Western US.
  • The person in this role will work closely with Employees, Employee Managers, HR Administrators, Senior HR People Specialist, Talent Acquisition and the People Support Leader for the Western Geography.
  • This position is responsible for first line response to employee & manager HR inquiries and support.
  • People Advisors will act as the single point of contact through resolution for certain types of HR inquiries, with seamless handoff when needed.
  • The hiring manager prefers a candidate that lives in Southern California to help provide onsite coverage to sites in the area but is open to candidates that live in the wider Western US (see states mentioned above).
  • The person selected will be eligible for relocation.
  • Knowledge and experience/familiarity with California Labor Law is a preference.
