DESCRIPTION

The Health Services Specialist provides site-level health services and supports occupational health initiatives under the guidance of a Health Services Director or Occupational Health Physician. This role focuses on enhancing employee well-being, implementing health and safety protocols, and ensuring regulatory compliance with occupational health standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide direct care to employees to promote well-being and occupational health, assisting with treatment and health inquiries as necessary.
  • Health Surveillance and Disease Management: Support site Occupational Health Surveillance programs and educate employees on disease management and prevention.
  • Medical Records and Recordkeeping: Maintain individual medical records per Corporate and local regulatory policies; manage records such as workers' compensation files and other necessary documentation.
  • Ergonomic Risk Assessment: Assess workstations and tasks using Cummins' ergonomic risk analysis methods to identify, evaluate, and address ergonomic risks.
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response: Participate in site emergency action planning, applying best practices in emergency management to mitigate health and safety risks.
  • Industrial Hygiene: Implement an industrial hygiene program that controls workplace exposure risks, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Occupational Health Program Delivery: Work with health experts to develop and deliver programs that promote safety, health, and wellness for employees.
  • Injury and Illness Management: Report, document, and manage work-related injuries and illnesses per Cummins guidelines, ensuring compliance and facilitating care for affected employees.
  • Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions that engage employees and support their learning needs, enabling them to apply health and safety practices on the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience :

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in health services and related field.
  • Taking care of employees for health issues.
  • Should be able to give primary treatment.
  • Should be able to do pre-employment health checkups.
  • Conducting health and wellness activities and awareness sessions,
  • Should be able to handle some administrative work,health data analysis.
  • Should be able to manage any kind of medical emergency,identifying the ailment and providing primary/basic treatment

  • Emergency Preparedness and Response: Knowledgeable in emergency planning, with an emphasis on regulatory requirements.
  • Industrial Hygiene Management: Experienced in managing exposure risks and applying best practices in workplace hygiene.
  • Occupational Health Management: Skilled in developing occupational health programs that enhance safety and well-being.
  • Work-Related Injury and Illness Management: Competent in documenting, reporting, and managing workplace injuries per regulatory guidelines.
  • Training Delivery: Effective in training delivery to enhance employees' knowledge and practical skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Education: MBBS.
  • Language Skills: Intermediate or higher fluency in English is preferred.
