Job Description:

Responsible for supporting sites with HSE Regulatory Compliance matters and providing assistance to reduce HSE risks within the region. Collaborates with HSE Center of Excellence and the Business Unit HSE Leaders to provide in-region HSE expertise.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provide support for the regional implementation of HSE solutions and technology, including materials translation, training coordination, managing supplier relationships, auditing, and other related tasks.
  • Analyze information and data to identify and communicate risks associated with sites and branches in the Latam region.
  • Support the maintenance of HSE processes, procedures, and systems across the Latam region.
  • Lead HSE projects from initiation through implementation, setting project goals, plans, timelines, and milestones. Monitor performance, manage costs and resources, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Utilize the plan-do-check-act methodology to drive continuous improvement and develop project-related support materials for training and internal communications.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for risk reduction. Coach and develop team members on HSE processes.
  • Participate in site audits and support the HSE Management Systems to ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements.
  • Actively seek opportunities for self-development and stay informed about emerging trends in HSE.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • In-depth knowledge of HSE technical aspects and certifications. Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and compliance obligations.
  • Experience in training facilitation and the ability to deliver engaging and effective training sessions.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including scope, schedule, and resources, ensuring successful outcomes and adherence to project goals.
  • Strong conversational and written English & Spanish/Portuguese skills. Ability to interpret results and communicate risks clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and build a positive HSE culture by working with diverse groups and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate performance trends and inform strategy.

Education: College, university, or equivalent degree required. Occupational Health, Safety or Environmental degree preferred.

Experience: Intermediate relevant experience required, including team leadership and project management. Experience with Industrial Safety Standards preferred. At least 3-5 years of experience.
