DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environment Risk Manager to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Cummins Inc. facility in Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhance Site Performance : By providing hands-on support, you'll help regional sites achieve their health, safety, environmental, and sustainability objectives.
  • Drive Best Practices : You'll lead the sharing of best practices across the region, ensuring consistent and effective approaches to common challenges.
  • Standardize Solutions : Your contributions to standardized solutions will improve risk reduction and proficiency, supporting the global strategy.
  • Continuous Improvement : Collaborating with global teams, you'll drive continuous improvement through the development of programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Audit Leadership : Leading or participating in audits, you'll ensure sites are prepared and conform to health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.
  • Mentorship and Development : By coaching and mentoring local site resources, you'll identify opportunities for growth and professional development.
  • Incident Management : You'll provide support for local incident investigations, ensuring thorough reporting and compliance.
  • Effective Communication : Executing communication objectives, you'll align regional efforts with the global strategy, enhancing overall effectiveness.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree or university equivalent required. Health and Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred.

Experience:

Significant relevant HSE experience required. 5-7 years of experience. Previous experience working across various countries within the region preferred. Progress toward professional certification, preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

  • Location : This is a Remote role; however the ideal candidate will reside within a two-hour commute of one of the following major airports: Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Chicago, Houston, Denver, Phoenix, New York City, Minneapolis, or Los Angeles.
  • Travel Requirements : Must be willing to travel at least three weeks per month.
  • Preferred Qualifications : Experience in ergonomics or certification as a professional ergonomist.
  • Environmental Expertise : Strong background or experience in environmental practices.
  • Technical Proficiency : Must be adept in all Microsoft applications.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent communication and public speaking abilities, with experience in delivering training sessions.
  • Alternative Energy Experience : Preferred experience with alternative energy or fuels, such as EV batteries or hydrogen.
  • Risk Management : Strong skills in risk assessment and risk reduction project management.
