DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Fleet Manager to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning working hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Strategic Alignment : By planning, developing, and improving Fleet Management programs, you'll ensure they support and align with the overall business strategy and objectives.

  • Policy Adherence : Ensuring that Fleet Management programs comply with company policies will help maintain consistency and integrity across all operations.

  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair : Make informed decisions on vehicle maintenance and repair activities to optimize costs and ensure effectiveness.
  • Vehicle Specification : Apply knowledge of vehicle application and environment to optimize specifications, ensuring they meet fit-for-purpose and safety objectives.
  • Vehicle Systems Knowledge : Interpret information from users and repair facilities to make informed decisions regarding maintenance, repair, specification, or vehicle safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university or equivalent degree or significant relevant experience required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Significant relevant experience required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • The initial focus of this role is solely on towed assets with a gradual transition to a broader scope to include the development of a long-term vision of Cummins fuel and maintenance strategy. The first 12-18 months will require significant travel to Cummins locations across the US and Canada.
  • The strategic vision of this role is to establish an inventory, determine replacement parameters, identify proper specifications, reduce under-utilized assets, and implement a telematics tracking system for all towed assets.
  • This role may include other duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong understanding of regulatory requirements, safe practices, and cost management will be considered an asset.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and resolve arising conflicts will be critical to delivering on key milestones.
  • The candidate will need to make tough decisions, manage change, and use critical thinking skills in times of ambiguity.
