DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Financial Operations Manager to join our team specializing in Finance for Cummins, Inc. in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Annual Budgets and Financial Reports : Create and prepare annual operating budgets and periodic financial reports to provide a clear financial overview.
- Financial Modeling : Analyze, evaluate, and develop financial models to support strategic decision-making and forecasting.
- Business Partnering : Collaborate with management to deliver financial results, identifying potential opportunities and risks.
- Strategic Financial Projects : Design, develop, and manage strategic financial analysis projects to support long-term planning.
- Team Management : Lead and manage a team of Financial Analysts, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Coaching and Mentoring : Coach and mentor financial analysts, assigning work based on availability, skills, and developmental needs.
- Work Allocation : Allocate tasks to team members according to their skills and availability to optimize productivity.
- Performance Assessment : Assess performance and provide feedback to direct reports to foster continuous improvement and professional growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Stakeholder Management - Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and align your efforts with organizational goals.Continuously evaluate the business environment to identify risks and opportunities and take proactive measures to address them.
- Financial Analysis - Regularly analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks or opportunities.Provide stakeholders with clear insights into financial impacts to drive business improvements.Ensure the accuracy of financial data by investigating variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Financial Planning and Forecasting - Use financial forecast data to create accurate and actionable projections.Partner with stakeholders to analyze trends and validate assumptions, ensuring forecasts align with organizational goals.
- Financial Reporting - Analyze financial data to evaluate results and develop solutions that support business decisions.Prepare and present financial information in a way that is compliant with regulations and meets stakeholder expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required.
- Significant experience required, including supervisory experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Leading JVO Finance team
- Partner with JVO operation team and Functional team to provide financial analytical support
- Partner/Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive organizational key initiatives
- Support monthly, quarterly, annual close and reporting process
- Drive JVO and functional Forecast, AOP process
- Identify and drive process improvement and automation
Compensation
