DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer's site.

Key Responsibilities:

Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Completes training in line with skill and business requirements Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in (Spokane, WA)

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Completing repair activities on generators or components
  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of service
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

(Intermediate):

  • Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
  • Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch.
  • Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.

A current valid license is required for this role

This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical

3 years driving experience

This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age.

07 Certification License is a plus

  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

  • 3 years driving experience
  • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
  • High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
  • Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands on exposure to working on power generation products. Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Current relevant electrical certification Locally valid driving permit This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Basic level field service work experience Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience Customer service experience

Salary rate commensurate with experience.
