Facilities Technician - HVAC/Mechanical - Level III

We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician - HVAC/Mechanical - Level III to join our team specializing in Facilities for our Cummins Inc. facility in Jamestown, NY.

• Emergency Preparedness : Develop and manage a comprehensive emergency preparedness program. Identify potential risks and create a risk management plan to address incidents like power outages, floods, and fires. Ensure emergency systems are well-maintained and report any impairments promptly.
• Facilities Maintenance : Regularly assess the condition of the facility, including its systems, structure, interiors, exteriors, and grounds. Manage maintenance activities and develop asset management systems that prioritize preventative maintenance using criticality analysis and predictive tools.
• Facilities Operation : Oversee occupant services such as parking, janitorial services, food services, concierge, facility helpdesk, security, and safety. Manage the maintenance contracting process and develop operational plans for temperature control, lighting, equipment replacement, and water treatment.
• Facility Electrical Technical Skills : Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical distribution systems, buss bars, breaker boxes, motors, and other electrical equipment. Ensure the facility operates properly with reliable lighting and electricity for production activities.
• Facility HVAC Technical Skills : Troubleshoot, repair, and install heating equipment, boilers, ventilation systems, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, and other mechanical equipment. Provide necessary heating or cooling to the facility, its occupants, and production processes.
• Safety Awareness : Maintain safe work habits and actions in all aspects of your daily tasks. Evaluate reactive work for safety issues, plan projects with safety as a priority, and review preventative work for any unforeseen safety hurdles.
• Technical Proficiency : Read and interpret mechanical, HVAC, and pneumatic sketches, drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
