DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician - HVAC/Mechanical - Level III to join our team specializing in Facilities for our Cummins Inc. facility in Jamestown, NY.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Customer Focus : Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and delivering solutions that meet their expectations. Effective communication and responsiveness are crucial.
- Emergency Preparedness : Develop and manage a comprehensive emergency preparedness program. Identify potential risks and create a risk management plan to address incidents like power outages, floods, and fires. Ensure emergency systems are well-maintained and report any impairments promptly.
- Facilities Maintenance : Regularly assess the condition of the facility, including its systems, structure, interiors, exteriors, and grounds. Manage maintenance activities and develop asset management systems that prioritize preventative maintenance using criticality analysis and predictive tools.
- Facilities Operation : Oversee occupant services such as parking, janitorial services, food services, concierge, facility helpdesk, security, and safety. Manage the maintenance contracting process and develop operational plans for temperature control, lighting, equipment replacement, and water treatment.
- Facility Electrical Technical Skills : Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical distribution systems, buss bars, breaker boxes, motors, and other electrical equipment. Ensure the facility operates properly with reliable lighting and electricity for production activities.
- Facility HVAC Technical Skills : Troubleshoot, repair, and install heating equipment, boilers, ventilation systems, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, and other mechanical equipment. Provide necessary heating or cooling to the facility, its occupants, and production processes.
- Safety Awareness : Maintain safe work habits and actions in all aspects of your daily tasks. Evaluate reactive work for safety issues, plan projects with safety as a priority, and review preventative work for any unforeseen safety hurdles.
- Technical Proficiency : Read and interpret mechanical, HVAC, and pneumatic sketches, drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience or apprenticeship to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Must meet the minimum educational requirements upon completion of an apprenticeship or regional training program. Must pass all related testing.
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
Services, supports and maintains all Industrial Machine equipment for the assigned area. This includes both PM and repair tasks, troubleshooting, installations, reading, and interpretation of blueprint and tool drawings is required.
Works on various equipment, including, but not limited to, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, spindle, gear head, hydrostatic systems, CNCs, ball screws, ways, dynamometers, fluid systems transmissions, conveyors, gantry's, etc.
Responsible for smoothly operating the machinery used in both production and non-production areas.
Utilizes the Maximo system for all PM and WO tasks while adding failure remarks for completed work.
Basic electrical knowledge is a must.
Regularly communicates any equipment issues with management.
Must be flexible to support the plant in any matter that is needed.
Provide active training and act as a mentor for the skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
