DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Facilities Associate - Level I to join our team specializing in Facilities for our Cummins Inc. facility in Maxton, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Facilitating Facility Improvements : By assisting with changes and improvements, you'll help ensure the facility operates efficiently and meets the needs of its occupants.
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination : Maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors will ensure that services provided to the facility are reliable and of high quality.
- Effective Communication : Communicating changes and improvements to facility occupants will keep everyone informed and minimize disruptions.
- Project Coordination : Supporting the scheduling of work and special projects will help ensure that facility operations run smoothly and projects are completed on time.
- Budget Management : Assisting with budget development, documentation, and reporting will contribute to the financial health of the facility.
- Space Management : Updating and managing CAD layouts and master plans will optimize the use of floor and office space, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Equipment Installation : Organizing the installation of communications equipment will enhance the facility's technological capabilities and connectivity.
- Continuous Improvement : Participating in improvement processes and audits will help identify areas for enhancement, leading to better overall facility management.

- Maintain Facilities : Assess the condition of the facility, manage operations and maintenance activities, and develop asset management systems for preventative maintenance. This will ensure the facility remains in optimal condition.
- Operate Facilities Efficiently : Manage occupant services, maintenance contracting, and operational planning requirements. Efficient facility operations will contribute to a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. Experience: Minimal or no work experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to complete and document tasks
- Brainstorming and active problem solving skills are expected.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A good understanding of applicable assembly processes
- Working knowledge of and relevant experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Skill to troubleshoot and repair control issues on equipment controlled by PLC's is desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to explain complex systems in a way that understanding is achieved and be able to influence the reactions of assembly technicians to operating variances that do not require high skill levels.
- Successful candidates must be able to learn new concepts and apply them daily in interpreting the proper repair techniques required for each situation.
- Ability to solicit information from various sources and compile them into a course of action.
Physical Demands of the Job:
Must be able to access all areas of the plant and safely use ladders and other access devices such as scissors lifts and articulated boom lifts. This job also requires some climbing and standing for extended periods.
