DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in Kenner, Louisiana.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools
- Disassemble, inspect and clean engines and /or engine components
- Assists with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
- Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Engine Technician training (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Basic experience with engines is required for this role
About the role:
- Work on: On highway heavy duty trucks, transit, RV, fire trucks. Also on some industrial equipment like air compressors and generators and front-end loaders.
- Working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday.
- A 5000$ sign on bonus for this position
- Benefits start day 1

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. This role requires a valid driver's license, and is DOT compliant
This role requires on-call rotation.
DOT
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
- A current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
