We are looking for a talented Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Senior Specialist to join our team specializing in Industrial HSE for our Accelera by Cummins site in Guadalajara, Spain.
This position is onsite, and a high level of English and Spanish proficiency is mandatory.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Provides administrative and technical support for health and safety initiatives, coordinating data collection, checking for accuracy, reporting through HSE systems, maintaining training records, and assisting in meeting preparations.
- Confidentiality and Recordkeeping: Maintains confidentiality and appropriate recordkeeping standards in line with corporate data protection and retention requirements and legally mandated records.
- Metrics Tracking: Tracks and reports required monthly metrics to the enterprise incident management system.
- Policy Adherence: Ensures all EHS policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to, regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
- Incident Management: Ensures all EHS incidents are documented, investigated, and recommended improvements are implemented.
- Risk Assessments: Completes risk and job hazard assessments in support of site activities and participates in health and safety inspections and audit programs.
- Waste Management: Manages the dangerous and non-dangerous waste generated on-site and maintains related records.
- Process Documentation: Manages the documentation and maintenance of EHS processes, ensuring all are released through the relevant Document Control System.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- A college, university, or equivalent degree in Industrial Safety or a related field is preferred (Técnico superior con las tres especialidades preventivas: Seguridad, Higiene, Ergonomía y Psicosociología) as required by local legislation.
- Requires extensive senior-level experience working in industrial plants.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
- Preferably certified as an auditor according to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.

- Understand and Apply Ergonomic Concepts: Utilize Cummins ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls, and tools to minimize employee ergonomic risks.
- Manage Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses: Communicate and document incidents following Cummins reporting guidelines and relevant regulations, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting affected employees through clinical treatment and case management.
- Promote Health and Safety: Actively identify, report, and engage in actions to enhance health and safety, fostering a proactive and injury-free workplace culture.
- Implement Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems: Apply international standards practically within the operating environment to maintain an effective management system and achieve external certification.
