DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Harrisburg, PA.

You will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

(Advanced):

• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
• Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institutionLocally valid driving permit (Preferred)This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS

This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have, a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire, must be 21 years old to obtain CDL. This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. ORDER, DOT Physical and DMV Report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD This position will be a part of the FTA pool. ORDER, FTA Drug Test

Hours are 7AM- 3:30PM and are subject to change depending on business needs.

Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
