DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician - 2 nd Shift to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business (Louisville, KY).
Hours: 4 - 10/hr shifts Monday thru Thursday!
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
(Entry):
• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
(Intermediate):
• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
(Advanced):
• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
• Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
Trade school or equivalent background.
Team Player
Diesel engine experience is a plus.
Diesel engine repair and maintenance is a plus.
Diesel aftertreatment repair and maintenance is a plus.
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
- A current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
