DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor existing databases and equipment to ensure expected results are attained and all equipment is in good working order.
- Collect and analyze data on existing equipment and databases.
- Support internal staff and IT projects by making recommendations and offering alternatives to improve database performance.
- Conduct database training when necessary.
- Ensure database stability and reliability by following version change controls and procedures.
- Guarantee data security by following access and integrity controls.
- Ensure data integrity and disaster recovery by assisting with regular database backups under established procedures.
- Conduct basic database restoration when necessary.
- Assist with testing database backup and restore procedures.
- Test basic databases to ensure functionality meets performance requirements.
- Troubleshoot problems.

Experience:
- Minimal relevant work experience required. 1-3 years of experience.

- Release and Deployment Management: Controls the plan, schedule, and deployment of releases using the required processes and tools to deliver functionality to the business and ensure the integrity of the system, formally handing it over to service operations.
- System Change Management: Controls the life cycle of all system changes using the required processes and tools, enabling beneficial changes to be made with minimum disruption to IT services.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnoses and resolves customer-identified issues by utilizing appropriate department standards to satisfy customer expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot and resolve issues quickly.
- Process Improvement: Support for departmental process enhancements.
- Data Management: Refreshing and distributing data to SharePoint.
- Excel Expertise: Advanced skills in VLOOKUP, formulas, pivot tables, and conditional formatting for data analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of SQL, VBA, PowerBI, Microsoft Flow, Power App, and SharePoint.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and synthesize complex data.
- Flexibility: Openness to perform various tasks on short notice.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective knowledge sharing with stakeholders and team members.
- Must have advanced Excel skills and VBA coding experience.
